Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program

Are you planning to apply for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Cambridge? Looking for guidance on the process or tips on strengthening your application?

Led by University of Cambridge students who have successfully navigated the process, the Pre-Application Mentorship (PAM) Project aims to ‘empower aspiring scholars with the guidance, resources, and support needed to successfully apply to the University of Cambridge’.

The PAM Project toolkit

New for 2024, the PAM Project team has developed a comprehensive toolkit for applicants. It’s packed full of tips on every aspect of the application, from writing an impactful personal statement to understanding the dos and don’ts of approaching referees.

Regional online mentoring sessions

At the heart of the PAM Project is a series of online pre-application mentorship sessions, designed as simultaneous workshops covering all 5 regions of the continent (North, West, East, Central and South Africa).

The sessions, covering key dates, tips on making your application stand out and potential pitfalls to avoid, are tailored to the needs and opportunities specific to each region.

You’ll also have the opportunity to ask the team any burning questions and connect with other applicants in your region following the session.

To download the toolkit and book you place at one of the upcoming regional sessions, please visit the PAM Project website.
