Abdullahi Abdille
About
Abdullahi Abdille has more than a decade of research experience in migration, conflict and security, civilian protection, governance, democracy, and development in the Horn of Africa.
From 2014 to 2019, he served as Horn of Africa Researcher for the International Crisis Group (ICG), and from 2023 to 2025, as East Africa Researcher for the Center for Civilians in Conflict (CIVIC).
He has also consulted for Transparency International, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the HORN Institute, and the EU’s Research and Evidence Facility (EUTF), among others. His writing has appeared in African Arguments, The Elephant, The New Humanitarian, Just Security, World Politics Review, and HORN Bulletin.
He is pursuing an MPhil in African Studies and aims to deepen his expertise and explore new approaches to further his work in policy research, peacebuilding, and development.
