Abdulrahman Adebayo
About
Abdulrahman Adebayo is a policy researcher and journalist from Nigeria. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Ibadan where he graduated with a first-class degree and as a four-time recipient of the Dean’s Prize for academic excellence.
Before coming to Cambridge, he worked at Dataphyte where he researched foreign influence in Africa and the policy approaches of African countries to emerging technologies. He has also worked as a research assistant with the Secretariat of the Fiscal and Tax Reforms Committee established by the Nigerian President where he participated in the drafting of a new tax policy for the country.
His work has been published in Aljazeera, The Guardian and the Thomson Reuters Foundation. Abdulrahman is pursuing an MPhil in Development Studies and his research will seek to reimagine sustainable ways for Africa to raise the level of finance necessary to combat the climate crisis.
