Bupe Kunda
About
Bupe Kunda is a physicist from Zambia with research interests in scaling sustainable energy solutions from lab to industry.
She previously obtained dual bachelor's degrees in Physics and Social Entrepreneurship from Rollins College in Florida where she was awarded the Alfond Scholarship in recognition of her outstanding academic excellence and leadership skills. As president of the Society of Physics Students, Bupe worked to expand the physics community.
Her undergraduate research examined climate change impacts on energy access in Zambia. Through internships in product management and financial analysis, she has gained valuable industry experience in translating technical innovation into practical solutions.
Bupe is pursuing an MPhil in Advanced Materials for the Energy Transition. After graduating, she intends to collaborate with industry leaders to develop sustainable energy technologies that address both environmental and equity concerns in the global energy transition.
