Desmond Agyei
About
Desmond Agyei is a passionate researcher and educator from Ghana who holds a first class degree in Geography and Rural Development from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
He has led and contributed to studies on flood risk management, groundwater vulnerability, and the health and safety of older adults. He is currently teaching Geography under the Cambridge curriculum, integrating academic theory with real-world challenges to inspire his students.
His research interests lie at the intersection of environmental risk, public health, and ageing populations. Desmond is pursuing an MPhil in Global Risk and Resilience at the University of Cambridge where hopes to deepen his understanding of disaster risk reduction and resilience building, particularly in the face of climate change and its impact on vulnerable communities.
He aspires to return to Ghana to contribute to sustainable urban planning, policy development, and risk education.
