Joan Sseggane Nantaba is a Ugandan Environmental Engineer working to ensure safer, cleaner, and sustainable engineering projects in Uganda and beyond.
At Queensland & Leeds Consulting Engineers, she leads HSE efforts and oversees thorough environmental assessments in various sectors, including roads, oil and gas, water, and wastewater.
Joan is pursuing an MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development. She aims to become a renowned environmental consultant, fostering collaborations with local and global organisations to tackle environmental challenges and achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
She is committed to implementing projects in Africa holistically, integrating social, financial, environmental, and engineering aspects to create locally applicable solutions, embodying a vision of sustainable development that prioritizes the wellbeing of people and the planet.
