Laurianne Lingbondo is a journalist and media researcher, holding a BA Honours degree in Journalism from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, where she graduated as the top student in her programme.
She is pursuing an MPhil in Sociology (Culture & Media), focusing on reforming and decolonising media theory and reimagining the representation of refugees in the media.
Passionate about civil society, representation, and leadership, Laurianne has collaborated with leading African institutions such as the Pan-African Parliament and various NGOs. Through her work, she has contributed to programmes and policy initiatives aimed at shaping a better future for her home country, the Democratic Republic of Congo.
