Mathias Bizimana
About
Mathias Bizimana is an energy and development enthusiast from Rwanda. He earned a first class degree in Electrical Power Systems Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University, through the African Leadership College in Mauritius, where he studied as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar.
Mathias is passionate about energy policy and climate finance, with a focus on how Africa can harness its natural resources to drive inclusive development. He has served as a research analyst at The FutureList, where he produced innovation memos spotlighting pioneering startups across Africa, connecting them to funding and strategic networks. He has also held leadership roles in grassroots electrification projects and youth-led development initiatives.
Mathias is pursuing an MPhil in Environmental Policy, after which he hopes to work at the intersection of policy, finance, and technology to shape sustainable energy investment and governance across Africa.
