Purity Kirea
About
Purity Gakii Kirea is a curriculum developer and an educator from Kenya who holds a master’s degree in Curriculum Studies from the University of Nairobi, Kenya, a Bachelor of Education (Arts) from Kenyatta University, Kenya, and a certificate in International Relations from Sivas Cumhuriyet Universitesi in Turkey.
With teaching experience in both Kenya and Turkey, she offers a cross-cultural lens on inclusive and adaptive education. Her published work on teacher pedagogy highlights her dedication to research-informed curriculum development.
Purity is pursuing an MPhil in Education, Globalisation and International Development. Following her studies, she plans to collaborate with the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) to develop contextually grounded curricula that empower learners to address both national and global challenges. She also aims to share insights across the Global South to support education systems facing similar development needs.
