Racha Bouofousse

Racha Bouofousse is a Moroccan scholar of International Relations who graduated with honors as valedictorian from Al Akhawayn University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in International Studies in 2025.

She is especially interested in how questions of power, stability, and military strategy are understood and addressed within African contexts. Racha is pursuing an MPhil in Politics and International Relations and her research will explore the intersection of security with the political and social realities of African states, focusing particularly on historical legacies and evolving regional dynamics. She aims to deepen her engagement with regional security studies and contribute to the development of more equitable, grounded, and effective security policies across the continent.
