Samson Adewoye
About
Samson Oluwatosin Adewoye is a passionate mechanical engineer committed to making energy systems safer and cleaner across Africa. He is driven by the urgent need to prevent over 880,000 deaths annually in Africa due to air pollution, and to address challenges such as food shortages, drought, and mass migration linked to climate change.
He is pursuing an MPhil in Engineering and his research will focus on turbulent combustion and reducing harmful emissions through the decarbonisation of combustion systems. He will combine experimental and computational methods to develop cleaner energy solutions.
Samson hopes to become a clean energy researcher focused on safer, more efficient fuel combustion. Samson aims to work as an R&D engineer in low- or zero-carbon industries and eventually mentor young African scientists to help build a cleaner, healthier, and more climate-resilient continent.
