Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program

 

Borwen Sayon is a conservationist and natural resource management practitioner. He will be pursuing an MPHIL in Conservation Leadership at Cambridge University. Borwen has worked to mobilize national response to address biodiversity loss, climate change threats, livelihoods systems, financial mechanisms for Protected Areas through policy development and building resilience for adaptation. After his MPHIL in Cambridge, he will return to Liberia and strengthen national capacity to create a balance between conservation, people, and development. He holds postgraduate diplomas from Freiburg University and University of California-Berkeley, Master of Public Health, and Bachelor of Science in Biology from Cuttington University in Liberia.
