Lukhanyiso Ndevu is a trained civil engineer from Gqeberha, South Africa. He will be pursuing an MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development. He has experience in road construction and dam engineering. He worked on the Lesotho Highlands Water Project, a multi-phased binational project to provide water to South Africa and generate hydropower for Lesotho. He plans to expand his skills beyond technical engineering and learn infrastructure policymaking and sustainability evaluation methods, while at Cambridge. He intends to employ these new skills to drive change towards resilient cities.
