Mumwesigye Brenda is an urban planner from Uganda who will be pursuing an MPhil in Planning, Growth and Regeneration. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Makerere University, Uganda, serving as a student leader besides her academic excellence. From the various engagements she has undertaken, Brenda has realized numerous constraints in sustainable urban development such as the poor institutional frameworks and the need to prioritize urban management in Uganda. Brenda aims at advancing her skills in urban management, sustainable growth and research which are pertinent towards guiding urban development in Uganda.
