Zindzi Khaya is an International Relations scholar from South Africa who will be pursuing an MPhil in Multidisciplinary Gender Studies. During her bachelor’s degree, Zindzi received the Rector’s Award for academic excellence, also serving as chief executive of the United Nations Association of South Africa’s women empowerment portfolio and working with Vital Voices on solidarity programs for women effected by the 2020 explosion in Lebanon. At Cambridge, Zindzi plans to harness her passion for youth participation in democracy and intersectional gender equality in a manner that drives greater inclusivity in the sustainability challenges facing Africa.
