Abdirasak Egeh is a junior environmental health specialist from Somaliland, an autonomous region in Northern Somalia. He will pursue an MPhil in Population Health Sciences. Before joining Cambridge, Abdirasak served as an academic administrator at one of Somaliland’s prestigious high schools, helping students secure educational opportunities abroad.
Abdirasak obtained a BSc in Environmental Health from the American University of Beirut and graduated with distinction with a Mastercard Foundation Scholarship. He engaged in several community-based projects at home and abroad. After his studies at Cambridge, he is enthusiastic about researching the interconnected determinants of health in his region.
