Afolabi Ayomide is a climate-smart agriculturist from Nigeria who is committed to contributing towards the sustainable production of quality food without environmental or ecological degradation. He will be pursuing an MPhil in Biological Sciences (Crop science pathway). He decided to major in sustainable agriculture after considering the linkages between the current food system and climate change. He is interested in limiting the use of inorganic fertilisers in agriculture through the use of beneficial microbial associations. He hopes to gain the relevant skills needed to contribute to the fight against hunger, poverty, and the climate crisis in Nigeria.
