Alexandra Daplah Mwinbong is an alumna of the YALI West Africa Emerging Leadership Programme and a Mastercard Foundation Associate. She graduated with a BSc in Biotechnology and Molecular Biology from the University for Development Studies, Ghana in 2022, distinguished as the best female graduate in the Faculty of Biosciences and was subsequently retained as a Research Assistant. Alexandra will be pursuing an MPhil in Biological Sciences (Pathology), where she will conduct research on the novel biology of Plasmodium (human malaria parasites) using molecular techniques to inform the development of effective antimalarial drugs and therapeutics.
