Allen Chafa is an industrial engineer from Zimbabwe, graduated with a first-class BSc in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering. His innovative project earned him the Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers award in 2022, which he expanded into Smart Water Tech, addressing global water sanitation issues. He was shortlisted for the 2023 Africa Prize by the Royal Academy of Engineering and won the 2024 Next Big Idea competition by AFBE-UK. Allen will be pursuing an MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development, with the goal of leading sustainable manufacturing initiatives in Africa and globally.
