Angela Sughnen is a food security enthusiast from Nigeria. She will be studying for an Mphil in Biological Sciences (Crop Science pathway) at the University of Cambridge. She holds a first-class degree in Crop Production. Angela is interested in promoting sustainable food production towards achieving food security and improved nutrition. She previously worked with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, Ibadan, Nigeria, in the conservation of plant genetic resources for food and research. After her Mphil, she plans to work on the improvement of crop yield for small scale farmers in Africa through climate-resilient agricultural practices that foster food security.
