Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program

 

Haby Ka is a scholar from Senegal. She will be pursuing an Mphil in Political Thought and Intellectual History at Cambridge University. Her research will examine Frantz Fanon’s reinterpretation of the Hegelian master-slave dialectic and the politics of decolonization. She aims to provide an added perspective on postcolonial subjecthood and the state of modern-day politics in francophone Africa. After completing her Master’s, Haby wishes to pursue a doctorate in politics or history.
