Hamda Hassan is a Physical Therapist from Somalia. She will be pursuing an MPhil in Medical Science at the Department of Medicine at Cambridge University. She works as a Neuro Rehabilitation Specialist at DAAD MRC. Due to the high number of people affected by acquired brain injury - caused by gun violence in the ongoing civil war - the country is in need of a deeper analysis of TBI, to further create individualised treatment plans to give patients a better evidence-based outcome. By the end of her course Hamda Hopes to return with essential research skills she can apply in Somalia.
