Lerato Nare is a biotechnologist from Zimbabwe who will be pursuing an MPhil in Biological Sciences (Infection Biology and Molecular Immunology). He currently holds a BSc Honours Degree in Applied Biology and Biochemistry from the National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe where his passion for biotechnology and its applications was born. Lerato is interested in harnessing the immune system to pioneer novel and innovative therapies against emerging infections. By undertaking this MPhil, he seeks to emerge as an infectious disease researcher and strengthen public health systems across Africa.
