Selamawit (Selam) Abdella completed her BA (Combined Honours) in International Development Studies and Political Science at Dalhousie University, receiving the Board of Governors’ Award for her exceptional community engagement. After graduating in 2021, she worked as a research coordinator and strategic communications specialist in Ethiopia’s agricultural sector. Selam will be pursuing an MPhil in Development studies, where she intends to investigate digital agricultural technologies’ potential for African women smallholder farmers’ climate resilience. After completing her studies, she intends to integrate her research to inform equitable and sustainable agricultural development policies in Africa.
