Thabiso Ncube is a Medical Laboratory Assistant from Zimbabwe who will be pursuing an MPhil in Genomic Medicine. He previously obtained a BSc Honours in Applied Biology and Biochemistry at the National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe, receiving the Emmerson Mnangagwa Chancellors Award for his outstanding academic excellence as the best male graduating student. Thabiso is interested in the genomics of rare paediatric diseases and the implementation of genomics into clinical practice. From this MPhil, he hopes to improve African healthcare systems and promote Afrocentric genomics and the inclusion of African genomes in research.
