Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program

 

Zehreen Etwarooah is an education advocate from Mauritius. She previously studied Biological Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), before returning to Mauritius to work in Higher Education. Passionate about issues of quality and equity in education, Zehreen will now pursue an MPhil in Education (Globalisation and International Development) at the University of Cambridge. Zehreen’s research interests lie in the intersections between traditional and indigenous frameworks of education and contemporary education structures. She aims to combine her scientific background with her passion for holistic education to reimagine transformative education models for a sustainable, resilient African future.
